Faith

What is the cure for the imbalance brought about by climate change?

Everyday The Hill tells me: Community. Friendship. Faith. Love.

Against some very real odds I see peace on the hill. I see it in the college, in young farmers, with keen desires to learn. I see it in the sacred ground on top of the hill, in the planting of all those small trees and flowers (pines, junipers, wildflowers, ladies ear-drops), with hope that the bees will come.

I see it everyday in the clouds on the horizon that say: the rain will fall.

It’s true, it’s small. It’s hope. But it is the first lesson a farmer, anywhere, needs.
